Inktober 2026 is here!!
I've decided that I'll be mainly hosting my Inktober pics here instead of my Instagram, tumblr, ect.
I wanna just be sure I'm illustrating for the right reasons; that being God, myself, to tell stories, to share hope with others. And I think it's less pressure if I post it here without the draw of likes or notifications that social media gives.
That being said: this year's theme I was thinking about something along the lines of what I've been working through: "God's love shown in the everyday/mundane"
I'm kinda relearning how to walk with Him in that love, so I wanna express it somehow and remind myself of how faithful He has been.
Well, here we go!
Here's the first 4!!

Day 1: Apple
As a kid, my dad showed me how God puts stars in apples. It's always kinda stuck with me. Thanks dad! Thank you, God!

Day 2: Relic
While not exactly super old, or Holy by any means, VHS tapes with VeggieTales is what I grew up on. We owned nearly all of them haha! The one thing that stuck with me was how the ended every episode... "God made you special, and He loves you very much."- VeggieTales

Day 3: Miniature+ Sparrow
Day three was so difficult! I couldn't really come up with anything- so I turned to Inkspired's Inktober list and they had 'Sparrow' for day three. I've kinda touched the Sparrow verse a few different times, so I was trying to think about how to go about this one.... decided on some scales showing a young lad outweighing that of a ton of sparrows and priceless jewels.
Not too happy with the execution but had to get it done.

Day 4: Cactus
Struggled with this one initially but thought about how some people can be prickly and what can cause that. I know I can be that way sometimes, and it can be due to being hurt by others or the world around us, and growing our own spikes to try and not be harmed again. But the Lord can bob and weave straight through to our damaged heart.
That'll do for now!
Much love, keep your lanterns lit
